Pelvic ultrasound is used to examine the uterus, ovaries, bladder, and prostate gland. It is also used to monitor the health of the embryo or fetus during pregnancy. Pelvic ultrasound is often used to diagnose conditions or the cause of conditions such as:
- Pelvic pain
- Abnormal bleeding
- Menstrual problems
- Ovarian cysts
- Uterine fibroids
- Ovarian and uterine cancers
Obstetric ultrasound refers to the specialized use of sound waves to visualize and thus determine the condition of a pregnant woman and her embryo or fetus.
Breast ultrasound is an imaging test that uses sound waves to look at the inside of your breasts to check for tumors or other breast abnormalities. It also lets your healthcare provider see how well blood is flowing to areas in your breasts.

It is used in diagnosis of tumors, cysts or goiters of the thyroid. It is a painless, no-risk procedure.
An Upper and Lower Limb Arteries Doppler Ultrasound is a special type of ultrasound which is used to measure blood flow through the arteries of the upper and lower limbs, using high-frequency sound waves.
The test is used to calculate the velocity of blood flow and to determine the degree of narrowing in the blood vessel, if any.
Ultrasound imaging uses sound waves to produce pictures of muscles, tendons, ligaments, nerves and joints throughout the body.
It is used to help diagnose sprains, strains, tears, trapped nerves, arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions.
Ultrasound-guided infiltration consists of injecting an anti-inflammatory agent or a viscosupplement into a joint. The radiologist uses an ultrasound machine as a guide and to see the infiltration site clearly.
